Sigbjörn and Ragna

Lundar is a horse breeding farm located in Borgarfjörður, about 100 kilometres from Reykjavik, 10 kilometres off route one. The farm’s owners are Sigbjörn and Ragna, who have lived there for nearly 30 years, breeding being their primary passion. Sigbjörn is also a licensed FEIF breeding judge.

The Cabins at Lundar

The cabins on our horse breeding farm are in the heart of Borgarfjörður, about 100 km from Reykjavík. Each cabin is 30 m2 and can accommodate up to 4 people (queen bed in bedreoom, double sofa bed in living area). They are equipped with geothermal heating, great views of the surrounding countryside, and everything you need for a comfortable few days stay.

There are plenty of things to do only a short distance away, including three swimming pools, Krauma geothermal baths & spa, the waterfalls Glanni and Hraunfossar, Húsafell recreation area, the cave Víðgelmir, Steðji brewery, and more.
